“Our strategy around hosting these educational, impactful webinars was two-fold: to boost brand awareness and build muscle for lead generation”, says Aarthisri Srinivasan, Events Marketer at Sprinto HQ. 

The challenge

The team at Sprinto has been running webinars for a while now,  but were looking to change things up after using webinar hosting platforms Demio and Airmeet. 

Sprinto wanted to switch to a platform that had a robust suite of webinar tools and which, in particular, offered them the live support they badly needed while they evolved their strategy to meet the expectations of modern webinar audiences. 

“When I was evaluating webinar platforms, live support was a defining factor”, explains Aarthi. “Our previous 2 platforms had automated chatbots as a means of support. But in times of emergency - like your guest speakers are unable to join the webinar - having just chatbots to depend on to solve these situations was extremely frustrating and anxiety-inducing.”

So the simple fact that Sprinto would get their very own Zuddl Customer Success Manager was a game changer.

Here’s how Sprinto achieved these key outcomes:

(1) Reliable customer support meant no more “fingers crossed”

Aarthi and her team have become big fans of Yogesh, Customer Operations Specialist at Zuddl because of his dedicated support throughout the setup and running of their webinars. Whether onboarding guidance, troubleshooting issues, or last-minute assists, he always came through. “He’s saved our a** many times,” says Aarthi. 

Furthermore, when Sprinto needed adjustments to the platform that were unique to their use-case, the Zuddl team was prompt in delivering on those items.

“That was a very winning attitude to have considering we’re all growing in this SaaS space”, Aarthi points out.

This attention to detail has paid off. Requests for attendee magic links and blocking non-company emails during webinar registration has led to steady improvement in the quality of registrations and an increase in the turnout rate.

(2) Webinars so good looking, they tempted attendees away from Amazon Prime

Using Studio - a built-in video production and streaming tool - Aarthi and her team were able to instantly jazz up their webinar visuals, by customizing their webinar overlays, banners and backgrounds. 

“You’re not really in competition with other webinars, you’re in competition with Amazon Prime!” chuckles Aarthi.

“Studio let us deliver high-definition quality video and a much better aesthetic than legacy platforms. It’s a good product.”

This was one of the contributors to Sprinto’s impressive attendee ‘stickiness’ at their webinars.

For a 30 minute webinar, the average attendee stay rate was 23-24 minutes i.e. around 80% in comparison to the industry average which is 40%.

(3) Using a mix of features to drive leads, qualify them + enable targeted follow up

•Call-to-Action (CTA) Banner generated traffic + leads

Team Sprinto was able to drive constant traffic to their website and leads too using the embeddable CTA banner within the webinar. Attendees who click on the CTA banner will be directed to an external URL.

“So if we were talking about our product in a webinar or about booking a demo, [the CTA Banner] let attendees immediately access it. It’s right in front of them. Plus, since the banner is ever-present throughout the webinar, it upped the chance of attendees clicking through" says Aarthi.

• Slack integration made identifying ideal customer profile (ICP) quick and easy

A Slack integration helped Sprinto have a clear idea of registrant details

The integration helped the growth team in building a list for outreach. As accompanying registration details (job role, company name, country, etc.) were also pushed into Slack, it was easy to identify which attendees were ICP and non-ICP. 

This meant that instead of having to sift through pages of registration details, SDRs immediately had a clear idea of who to de-prioritize, and who to follow-up with immediately. “That was helpful,” says Aarthi.

•Analytics enabled optimization + personalized follow-up

Looking at the Zuddl Analytics dashboard, Aarthi could see a detailed breakdown of attendee behavior and engagement data: entry and exit times for attendees, which webinar sessions were attended the most, Q&A answers, responses to Polls. 

Aarthi says this a goldmine of information has given the team more insight into their attendees. With it, they can evaluate lead and webinar quality, zero-in on interests and use-cases most pertinent to the audience, and proactively take a step in the right direction.

For instance, being able to see the questions asked by individual attendees meant that the team could send out more targeted post-webinar nurture emails. Sharing a pertinent resource in response to a question asked during a webinar made their communications personalized.
